We chose silicone as our material because it's the best performing collar material on the market for real-world dog use. Non-porous, so it doesn't absorb water or odor. Completely waterproof, not water-resistant. Easy to clean — just rinse. Gentle on a dog's neck and coat. Colorfast. Durable through years of regular wear.
But the silicone collar category has always sacrificed aesthetics for performance. You get waterproof. You don't get beautiful. You choose one or the other.
Lu & Liv exists to fix that. We're producing silicone dog collars with original print designs — Grand Millennial patterns, Lowcountry botanical motifs, chinoiserie, toile — embedded in the silicone itself. Not printed on top. Not a coating. The color and pattern are part of the material, which means they're as waterproof and durable as the collar itself.

Most silicone collars are solid colors. Ours carry original print designs — embedded in the silicone, not printed on the surface. You get the same waterproof, odor-resistant, durable performance with visual design that the solid-color silicone collar category completely lacks.
Silicone is non-toxic — it's used in food-grade and medical applications. That said, no collar material is designed to be chewed, and a dog who consistently chews their collar may need a different solution like a breakaway collar or behavioral training.
Yes. Our collars will include a standard D-ring for attaching ID tags, GPS trackers, and other accessories.
